Parkland rolls-out VersaPOS Fuel Management to 50 Retail Gas Stations across Canada

San Francisco, California - October 20, 2010: SYSTIME, a leading business and technology service provider, today announced the successful roll-out of the VersaPOS Fuel Management solution from SYSTIME in 50 gas station convenience stores managed by Parkland Industries Ltd (Parkland). This roll-out completes phase one of the project for Parkland, Canada’s largest independent fuel distributer and marketer. In subsequent phases, the VersaPOS Fuel Management solution will be rolled-out to 147 additional stores.

Prior to the implementation of VersaPOS, Parkland utilized multiple platforms, formats, and applications within their convenience stores which led to inefficiencies in maintaining multiple systems. To improve operational efficiency, Parkland chose VersaPOS to become the company-wide standard for their retail gas stations, integrating technologies and data from their gas pumps, convenience stores, and their recently implemented Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.

The VersaPOS Fuel Management solution provides Parkland with a Point of Sale (PoS) solution, Gas Pump Interface (GPI) and integration middleware that can integrate into any ERP system. In addition to standard in-store PoS functions, VersaPOS Fuel Management operates on site providing back office reporting and centralized pricing updates from the head office.
